There’s a lot of alliterative hashtags that take a look back in time floating around, but this Wednesday we want to look back in time and also ahead. Many of you have crossed paths with Razzlin’ Rick over the years as he is a familiar sight to any Minnesota wrestling fan. For years he roamed the Message Boards, MinnesotaProWrestling dot com, and now on Minnesota Pro Wrestling sharing his Rumblings and Reviews of the weekend’s events with fans across the Land of 10,000 Graps.
What not everyone knows or has heard rumors about is the Book of Rick, containing over 10 years of results from the Razzlin’ One and his contemporaries. As we began MNDIY Wrestling this was passed on to us and we have spent the last few months reading, studying, and scanning the documents and are getting ready to share them starting on MNDIYwrestling.com in September. We will have some previews over the next couple weeks highlighting classic events from Minnesota’s Wrestling past and connecting it to other archival media as well as to the future of Wrestling in the Minnesota.
Thank you to Rick himself as well as John Frederiksen who shepherded it to us and without whom we wouldn’t have picked up the torch and started to build this with everyone’s help. This is a collaborative effort with fans, wrestlers, and promoters to continue to support and build Pro Wrestling in our state. We’re looking forward to sharing this rich bounty of history moving forward!
